In the early nineteen-eighties, Soletanche Bachy revolutionised the hollow-augered cast-in-place pile technology by introducing the Starsol system. Since that time, there have been many improvements and developments in foundation and piling engineering in terms of installation speed, pile reliability and size. Among the various techniques used by SB Pieux and E2F, the Starsol pile accounts for the majority of deep foundations using piles of more than 250 mm diameter in France. Today, Solétanche Bachy together with its subsidiaries SB Pieux and E2F has more than 200 rigs working on deep foundations and soil improvement for buildings and bridges, covering practically all the available techniques. |
