Rehabilitation of structures and underpinning works

These works are carried out to reinforce foundations that have degraded with time or have been damaged by events. Where a structure is to be subjected to higher loads or forces than it was originally designed for, underpinning of the foundations is often required as part of its upgrade.

Plant required for this type of operation must be of high capacity at the same time as being compact in order to work within the existing buildings or basements, without generating vibration or shock that could cause damage. Continuous precise monitoring of the existing and surrounding structures (the speciality of our subsidiary Sol Data) is often required to ensure that they are not disturbed as a result of the new ground works. Rehabilitation of all types of structures is often required, including ancient monuments and buildings, and very large structures such as dams and tunnels.
