Marine and river works & special foundations.
The ideal combination of foundation and ground improvement techniques coupled with specialist marine equipment allows Balineau to carry out not only civil and foundation contracts on land but also offshore works, in rivers, ports and harbours.
Balineau uses its twin capabilities and expertise to resolve difficult marine problems and offers a design and construct capability: pile driving, sheet piling, dredging and other techniques are used for protection of river banks, bridge and pier construction and rehabilitation, cofferdams, wharves, dolphins, breakwaters and quay walls.

Tunnelling equipment designers, manufacturers and contractors
CSM Bessac designs and constructs tunnels for water, drainage, services and metro systems.
It is both a design office and a manufacturing plant for specialised tunnel boring machines specific to these types of work, with staff skilled in underground construction. CSM Bessac develops solutions in response to the testing requirements of these markets.

Soil improvement design and construction.
The Vibroflotation Group designs and carries out all ground improvement projects by vibro compaction methods (vibroflotation) and/or stone columns. The range of vibrators and equipment developed and manufactured by this subsidiary enables soil treatment at great depth (over 60 m deep), on shore or offshore.
