| | In November 2007, Soletanche Bachy completed the specialist works section of Marina Bay Sands, a lavish new tourist complex which, in particular, comprises a new hotel consisting of three towers bridged by a Sky Garden. The site will also include a casino, a convention centre, a theatre, a museum and shopping malls. Our local subsidiary, Bachy Soletanche Singapore Pte Ltd has constructed 2 diaphragm wall cofferdams (31,000m²) enabling a mole at the base of the hotel to be demolished and then built the foundations for the three hotel towers: 29,925m3 of diaphragm walls, 312 foundation barrettes, 164 bored piles and jet grouting. The second phase of the works is now beginning: construction of the concrete beams and trimming of the diaphragm wall. Project site link: http://themarinabaysands.com.sg/ |
