May 8, 2008 - An underground car park for the new Seguin business park in Boulogne Billancourt | |
Solétanche Bachy is currently carrying out the civil engineering work for the future Cours Seguin car park. The 600-space three-story car park measuring 150m x 45m will free up Ile Seguin from traffic congestion. The civil engineering work is particularly complex due to major environmental and architectural constraints (integration of a bridge into the car park structure, presence of other work sites close by, network installation being carried out on the abutment slab, etc.). To respect the extremely tight deadline, non-conventional sequencing based on the production of part of the definitive structures as descendant structures was chosen, thus enabling simultaneous bracing of the diaphragm walls. The work began in 2006 with the diaphragm walls and prefounded columns. The work was suspended for 10 months to allow for construction of the new access bridge to Ile Seguin. The civil engineering work must be completed by the end of November 2008. Turnkey delivery of the car park is scheduled for March 2009. For the preliminary work: 20,500 sq.m of diaphragm walls 0.60m thick, 115 metallic prefounded piles. For the civil engineering work: 80,000 cu.m of excavation using a mole tunnelling machine, 10,000 cu.m of concrete, 1,000 tonnes of reinforcing steel, 16,000 sq.m of formwork and 9,000 sq.m of prefabricated slabs.
